Do Christians have to confess their sins to God

Pelase check out All Scriptures listed here to see what is said is been true. If any query, free to ask at the bottom of the posts!! Thankyou,

Do Christians have to confess their sins to God in order to be Forgiven?

Finally the Lord is giving some mighty revelations into this truth, Thankyou Jesus!!!

2000 years ago, Jesus has Already forgiven you of All your sins!!! and you partake of that, you received that Full forgiveness in One Perfect installment at salvation, Eternal Life, the moment you gave your life to Christ.

1 Peter 1:3-5

I can talk to God about my sins and ask Grace to Overcome, but its not the same as Confessing it because All my sins have Already been Forgiven and He promises in the New Covenant that He makes with us, that our sins He “Remembers them No More” Hebrews 8:12;10:17-18.

Unbelievers need to confess their sins to God to get saved; but Christians do not need to, because they are Already saved.

1John 1:9 was written to refute the teaching that Gnostic false teachers had infiltrated the church to dilute the Gospel Message to the world. The Gnostics claimed that ‘there was no such thing as Sin or Sinning’, and that our bodies are already evil anyway.

So what John the Apostle was essential saying was, “If any unbelievers confess their sins, they can be cleansed of All their sins and get saved.” refer 1 John 1:9

If an unbeliever doesn’t believe that ‘sin or sinning’ exists (or the doctrine of original Sin) due to the Gnostics teaching that was trying to infiltrate the believers, then the unbeliever won’t acknowledge that he is a sinner to God and hence be saved.

Read Ezekiel 36:25-26, Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 2:13 as an foundation to 1John1:9 and Hebrews 10:19-22 which is referring to unbelievers getting saved.

Ezek 36:25 I will sprinkle you with pure water and you will be CLEAN from ALL your impurities. I will PURIFY you from ALL your idols. 36:26 I will give you a NEW heart, and I will put A NEW spirit within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your body and give you a heart of flesh. 36:27 I will put MY SPIRIT within you;

Ephesians 1:7

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace

Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we’re a free people–free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. [Abundantly] free! (MSG translation)

Colossians 2:13

And even though you were dead in your  transgressions and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he nevertheless made you alive with him, having forgiven all your transgressions.

When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God. God brought you alive–right along with Christ! Think of it! All sins forgiven,

Hebrews 10:19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, 21 since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, 10:20 by the fresh and living way that he inaugurated for us 22 through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, 23 10:21 and since we have a great priest 24 over the house of God, 10:22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in the assurance that faith brings, 25 because we have had our hearts sprinkled CLEAN from an evil conscience 26 and our bodies WASHED in pure water.

This Scripture in Hebrews was written to Hebrews/Jews, some of which was tempted to go back under the Law or some of which won’t even saved, possibly to encourage them to come out of Old Covenant of Moses, into the New Covenant. It is a SCripture written to encourage these Jews to get saved!!! by having their hearts cleansed by the Blood of Jesus!! It’s not a SCripture refering to believers but Unbelievers who already know the Law!!

1John 1:9 But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, forgiving us our sins and CLEANSING 24 us from ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.

Reading this SCripture in the light of Ezekiel and other Old Testament SCriptures prophesying of the New Covenant, we can see once again that this Scripture 1 John 1:9 is in line and it’s talking about unbelievers entering into the New Covenant so all their sins can be forgiven. Look at the Word ‘Cleansing‘ in Ezekiel and 1 John and you’ll see the parallel.

“The best commentary for the bible, is The Bible!! “said Ian Mckellar

Think about this:

How can God tell believers to confess their sins if He promises “I will Remember their sins No More…”

Read Jeremiah 31:34; Hebrews 8:12; 10:17,18; Psalms 103:3,12; Micah 7:19

Everything in the Old Testament must be interpreted the New Testament.

What the Old Conceals, the New Reveals; everything before the Cross, must be interpreted after the Cross.

Matt 6:14-15 was written before the Cross (read the context), it must interpreted through what happend After the Cross in which God Changed the Way He Related to us, Colossians 3:13

The Bible, is meant to be read as One Book, written by One Author, with One Theme flowing through the Old and the New.

It’s not meant to contradict each other, but what the Old Conceals, the New Reveals.

What the Old Prophesies, the New Fulfills.

Jesus is the The Fulfillement of the Old Covenant to bring the New Covenant, He IS literally the New Covenant!!

Isaiah 42:6; Luke 24:27; Colossians 1:27

When some of the Corinthians were sleeping with the temple prostitutes, Paul never tells them even once to ‘Confess their sins’. If confessing sins was such a common practice among New Convenant believers, why was it never mentioned once in all of Paul’s letters?

1Cor 5:1-2; 6:9-11

Paul says to those who were sinning, “those who commit sexuall immorality will not inherit the Kingdom of God…”

but Then He says, “that is what some of you WERE… you were WASHED, SANCTIFIED!!!”

He is saying, “that is Not you!!! the unbelievers won’t inherit the Kingdom!! that is Not you, you have Already been WASHED!!!”

“You don’t need to confess your sins, you’ve ALREADY BEEN WASHED, bEEN FORGIVEN!!!”

WASHED = FORGIVEN, FORGIVEN= WASHED. It’s the Same thing, it’s both past tense.

Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD:

though your sins are like SCARLET, they shall be as WHITE as SNOW;

though they are RED like CRIMSON, they shall become like WOOL. Isaiah 1:18

If you already have been forgiven, what is left to confess? You only need to do it ONCE!!

For by a SINGLE/ONE Offering He has PERFECTED for ALL TIME those who are being SANCTIFIED(set apart unto God by that One offering, we are set apart FOREVER!). Hebrews 10:14

WASHED = FORGIVEN = SANCTIFIED = JUSTIFIED = 1Cor 6:11; Romans 8:30 = COMPELTE = FINISHED WORK OF THE CROSS = “It is finished!!!” John 19:30

God’s Work is Complete from Beginning to End, for He declares the End from the Beginning. Isa 46:10; Rev 1:8

He is the ‘Beginning/Alpha and the End/Omega’, so if you are in Him, you are Already Complete.

Paul is trying to ‘change the way they think’ – Repentance, to tell them “this is not you… you are not sexuall immoral anymore, you are New Creations in Christ… therefore start acting like one…you don’t have a sinful nature anymore, but you have a God nature and you have been justified (declared Righteous before God).

“As man thinketh in his heart, so is he” proverbs.

If you believe you are sinner, then you’ll sin by faith. If you believe you are a ‘Idiot’, then you’ll act like a Idiot. The whole bible is all about transforming your mind, there is nothing you have ‘To Do’, it has already ‘Been Done!’, just Repent (change your mind) and Believe the Truth so you can be Set Free!!! John 8:32, Live by the Spirit, Not by the Law, Galatians 5:18

We are not longer ‘Sinners saved by grace’, we WERE sinners, but Now We are Saints.

The moment you discover Who you really are, then you’ll start to live like it.

Paul didn’t tell them to confess their sins but he told them Who they are. There is no need to confess your sins if you don’t have a sinful nature anymore!!!

Believers no longer have to be ‘sin conscious’, but they can be “Gift of Righteousnes conscious” and “Christ conscious” rather than “self-conscious”. Romans 8:1

Woohoo!! thankyou Jesus, Heavenly for this wonderful Gospel Grace that truely changes people from the Inside out, not Outside In!!

So what happens when we sin?

Instead of asking Him to forgive us and feeling condemned, we just thank Him that He has already forgiven us and there is Now No Condemnation.

More to come about “Do Christians have a sinful nature?” studies based in Romans 6-7.

Thankyou and feel free to spread this blog!!!

* When did Jesus forgave us all our sins?

http://gracerevolution.co.nz/2008/09/25/when-did-jesus-forgive-us-all-our-sins-part-1/

http://gracerevolution.co.nz/2008/10/06/when-did-jesus-forgive-us-all-our-sins-part-2/

The understanding of this took me a couple of years to grasp it.

Confessing your sins and forgiving others in order for God to forgive you was an Old Covenant practice (Matthew 6:12, 14-15); but in the New Covenant we forgive others Because God has already forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). Jesus was still living under the Old Covenant when He said this, the New Covenant didn’t begin until Jesus died on the Cross and it was completed on Acts Chapter 2, the Day of Pentecost when the Spirit was poured out.

Its important to RIGHTLY DIVIDE THE COVENANTS when you read the bible otherwise you’ll mis-interpret it. There are 7 major covenants in the Bible. Right now we are living under the Dispensation of the New Covenant, so when we read Old Covenant Scriptures we’ve got to filter it through New Covenant Lenses.

E.g. If you read most parts of the Old Testament, you will find that God commands us to kill our enemies. Do we do that today? of course Not, that was Old Covenant Law of Moses. Also when Jesus came, He said He was only sent to the Lost sheep of Israel, Not to the Gentiles (Matthew 15:24), and He also told his disciples only preach to the Jews (Mathew 10:6)  that was Old Covenant. But when He rose from the dead, the Covenant changed and He told everyone to go into the World and preach the Good News to all ethnic groups, all people, not just Jews!!!

Jesus preached law/Old Covenant to its original standard, where once people had watered the law down to be “keepable”, he preached this to the Self-Righteous and Proud in heart to expose their sins by bringing the law which is  mirror, and Jesus preached New Covenant Grace Prophetically and renewing the Abrahamic Covenant of Faith to those were humble and ready to receive.

Outreach report from Hamilton 400

A witnessing clip

Testimony about miraculous gold dusts appear on unbelievers in the Glory.

Last weekend was an amazing time in Hamilton. The Lord told me to go there through a few prophetic words the night before.

It was a humbling time. I realised I had many prideful areas in my life as I fellowship with believers from various backgrounds, various denominations ranging from conservatives to Pentecostals. I don’t consider myself to be of any denominations. The Lord showed me how prideful I was and how I needed to remain humble even though I was confident of where I stood with God.

The first two days of outreach was good- stepping out of the comfort zone and doing things that I haven’t done before! Going up to someone and telling them that God loves them and preaching the Gospel without tracts!!

I saw the guys take up the flip chart tool- it was great and saw them run with it in a great way!! there were many people who made decisions for the Lord, it was great joy to be there when it happened!!

Then came the Saturday night, everyone’s tired. But I knew that when we are weak- then we are strong in the Lord. So I suggested that we go out anyway.

We had a team of about 15 people that night. So on the way there, Duj got so drunk in the Holy Spirit that he fell on the ground!! then we all got together and held hands and a prayer meeting on the streets, praising God, and allowing God’s Glory to be made manifest in our midst!! O the Manifest Glory Presence of God was there and that made the outreach a lot easier.

Then we walked down the streets and a whole lot of things happened.

Close to the end of the night, 2 ladies came walked by and talked with some of our team. Apparently they are believers walking around at night going to the night clubers and prophesying over people- I could see that they were so filled with the Holy Spirit!! they were so on fire.

Somehow at the end, they asked if I could pray for them. So I held their hands and started praying, I was resting in the Lord and blowedn them, just focusing on God. And then I thought, “Na, let’s get into the Glory, You don’t need me to pray for you- you need God! Let Him come and minister to you! I just want to worship…”

So I let go of their hands and said, “Let’s enter into God’s Glory, let’s worship!”. And we worshiped and praised Him until I could feel we entered into His Glory. About 1 or 2 min later, I opened my eyes feeling in the Glory Presence of God. I felt to say to one of the Ladies, “ Look at your hands.”

Her hands were down. Then she lifted it up and showed her hands to me, it was full of gold sparkles on her hands!! and her friends had it too and even I had it!! wow! I was amazed!! the first time I had so much gold dusts on me. Then I felt this, “God is so real!! God is real!!” what an amazing feeling!! Then we literally felt this open portal in the middle of where we were standing, you could feel like a freshness or a wind in the place where we were standing.

Then I thought, “this is a dream come true! Gold dusts on the streets! I have to take hold of this opportunity and give it away to the lost.”

So I looked around, and the streets were full of people walking pasts, very noisy, many were drunk, I thought about shouting it from the rooftops saying, “hey God just gave me some gold dusts as a miracle! I believe in Jesus!” (but thinking about it now, what I should have done is, “hey God just did a miracle for me! He gave me some gold from heaven! If you would like us to pray for you to experience the Glory of God from heaven and any miracles can happen- then line up here and we’ll pray for you!!” And I would stay there and lay my hands on them.)

But what I did do was I stood there for a while thinking “how do I impart this to the lost?”

Then I turned around and saw these 3 pacific islander boys and told them that I believe in God and He has done a miracle for me. “Do you mind if I pray for the God’s Glory to come on you?”

They said “Yes.” So I laid my hands on the two of them and prayed for God’s Glory to come on them. Then I told said, “Look at your hands.” And they looked with amazement! Their hands were full of Gold dusts! And one of young man swore in amazement! Then I preached the Gospel to them and it was easy! I asked them if they died tonight would they goto heaven? They weren’t sure then from there I preached the gospel to them and showed them that they could have assurance of salvation by believing in Jesus and calling on the Name of the Lord and asked if they wanted to make a decision and lead them in a repentance prayer. They received the Lord and we got their contact details down.

I believe these are the days when God’s Glory comes- He will do the ministry, anything is possible, anything can happen!! If God gives you gold dusts- then use it! God gave Moses a rod that can turn into serpent, He said to Moses “what’s that in your hand?”

What’s that in your hand today? Whatever sign and wonder God has given you, use it. If God has given you gold dusts as a sign and wonder, then use it. (Exodus 4:1-9)

It was so much easier to preach after signs and wonders happen, usually a gospel message can take 10 min to share but because signs caught people’s attention, it only took like 2 min to share!

The Key is the Glory manifest Presence of God- and to enter His Glory through Praise by His Grace!

Testimony about miraculous drying of clothes in the Glory

I was driving up north for work. It took about 3 hours. I had to transport a young 4 year old boy for work. The boy wasn’t talking to me at all. So we are now driving back to Auckland after I had some lunch. Then I started praising and worshiping God, I put some glory music on!!

And I prayed for God’s Glory to come on him as I did on Saturday night on the streets and prayed for him. I was hoping that gold dusts would start appear on him, but I didn’t see any. I guess it’s not a formula, God’s Glory can appear in anyways He likes. Then he wanted to drink some water, so I got his water bottle and he drank out of it but spilled it over his jacket and pants. He wanted to take the jacket off but I wouldn’t let him because it was dangerous while we were driving.

So I continued praise and worship God singing songs of glory.

Then about 2 or 3 min later, the boy all of a sudden said, “o what happened? My jacket is dry!!”

Then I looked at his jacket and touched it to try to feel if it was still wet. But the wetness had gone and also on his pants there were no signs of water.

This is Magic!” He said. I was bewildered, like what in the world just happened? I touched his jacket again just to make sure it was wet but that’s impossible! It feel and look like dry!!

I couldn’t believe it!! But then, anything is possible when God’s Glory is Present- He does all the miracles! You simply invite Him to come through thanks and praise- and He does the rests.

Then I told him that God loves Him. I asked him, “have you ever told a lie? that is bad. Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment of all lying you’ve done.”

I believe these are the days of when daily miracles can happen- signs of His Presence that He is so ever present. When I see these miracles all I can say is that, “God is Real!! God is Alive in my life!!”

The Key to see these things happen is to remain rooted in the Grace of God, which gives us confidence to before God rather than being under the Law which covers us in condemnation and causes us to draw back from His Presence.

The believer’s Freedom, Acts 15

There is a Grace Revolution in the earth today…

Short commentary on Acts 15 (Please read the whole chapter)

How many of you want Freedom and Love Freedom? How many of you want freedom from religion, rules and traditions of men? There is a war going on between the ‘control spirit’ and the ‘Spirit of Grace’.

I believe Acts 15 is key turning point Scripture to understanding that we as New Covenant believers are FREE from the Law of Moses.

Acts 15:5  But some from the religious party of the Pharisees who had believed stood up and said, “It is necessary to circumcise the Gentiles and to order them to observe the law of Moses.”

The story says that some of the legalist became believers but still held onto the law of Moses. When the Gospel went to the Genttiles, it was a surprised for the Jews becasue they thought that God only wanted to save the JEws. Even Peter on the rooftop had no idea and had to convince the other brothers that salvation also went to the Gentiles. So the problem they had now was that they realised that God wanted to save the Gentiles as well.

So in the early church they had this problem: What do we do with the Gentile beliveres? Do we convert them to Jewish proselytes and keep the Law?

The answer was Peter stands up in

15:11 So now why are you putting God to the test by placing on the neck of the disciples a yoke that neither our ancestors nor we have been able to bear? 15:11 On the contrary, we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they are”

Peter states that, that not even Jews have to keep the law of Moses now, so the Gentiles definitely don’t have to keep the Law.

Then what happens?

15:19 “Therefore I conclude that we should not cause extra difficulty for those among the Gentiles who are turning to God, 15:20 but that we should write them a letter telling them to abstain from things defiled by idols and from sexual immorality and from what has been strangled and from blood. 15:21 For Moses has had those who proclaim him in every town from ancient times, because he is read aloud in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

V21 states that the law of Moses has been proclaimed everywhere in ancient, meaning that we as believers have to be sensitive to the unbelieving Jews who have been scattered everywhere so that gentile believers don’t offend and so win them to Christ. (More on that later)

Remember the Law of Moses was only given to the Israelites at ONE TIME in history, in ONE PLace, through ONE man MOses, and it was NEVER given to the gentiles. (Psalm 147:20, John 1:17)

For a commentary on the purpose of the Law, please goto:

http://gracerevolution.co.nz/2008/04/29/what-was-the-purpose-of-the-law/

So these are the three rules for Gentile believers:

1) Abstain from things defiled by idols

2) Abstain from Sexulal immorality

3) Abstain from what has been strangled and from blood.

He doesn’t add anything else such as:

4) Remember to Tithe as gentiles, (For detailed explanation on Tithing by bible theologian Michael Eaton, please goto:

http://gracerevolution.co.nz/2008/12/05/beyond-the-tithe-chapter-by-michael-eaton/

5) Keep the sabbath

6) Don’t eat this and don’t eat that

7) Can’t drink alcohol

8) You can’t watch tv or goto the movies

9) ADD YOUR OWN ONE HERE in modern Christianism that you know ain’t right

10) Or any other religious rules, laws and traditions of man that you might have in your churchianity

Gentile believers are free from the Law of Moses – 613 commandments!

15:28 For it seemed best to the Holy Spirit and to us not to place any greater burden on you than these necessary rules:

What are ‘These necessary rules’?

These are the rules they delivered to the believers in Antioch.

What do those 3 rules possibly mean to the believers in those days?

1) Abstain from things defiled by idols

There is only One God. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth… the whole of Genesis is all about people Worshipping the One True God!”

Later Paul writes about it in 1 Corinthians,

10:14 So then, my dear friends, flee from idolatry. 10:15 I am speaking to thoughtful people. Consider what I say. 10:16 Is not the cup of blessing that we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread that we break a sharing in the body of Christ? 10:17 Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all share the one bread. 10:18 Look at the people of Israel. Are not those who eat the sacrifices partners in the altar? 10:19 Am I saying that idols or food sacrificed to them amount to anything? 10:20 No, I mean that what the pagans sacrifice is to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be partners with demons. 10:21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot take part in the table of the Lord and the table of demons. 10:22 Or are we trying to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we really stronger than he is?

Romans 14

14:1 Now receive the one who is weak in the faith, and do not have disputes over differing opinions. 14:2 One person believes in eating everything, but the weak person eats only vegetables. 14:3 The one who eats everything must not despise the one who does not, and the one who abstains must not judge the one who eats everything, for God has accepted him. 14:4 Who are you to pass judgment on another’s servant? Before his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord 2 is able to make him stand.

14:5 One person regards one day holier than other days, and another regards them all alike. Each must be fully convinced in his own mind. 14:6 The one who observes the day does it for the Lord. The one who eats, eats for the Lord because he gives thanks to God, and the one who abstains from eating abstains for the Lord, and he gives thanks to God. 14:7 For none of us lives for himself and none dies for himself. 14:8 If we live, we live for the Lord; if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. 14:9 For this reason Christ died and returned to life, so that he may be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

14:10 But you who eat vegetables only – why do you judge your brother or sister? And you who eat everything – why do you despise your brother or sister? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. 14:11 For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow to me, and every tongue will give praise to God.” 14:12 Therefore, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

Exhortation for the Strong not to Destroy the Weak

14:13 Therefore we must not pass judgment on one another, but rather determine never to place an obstacle or a trap before a brother or sister. 14:14 I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean in itself; still, it is unclean to the one who considers it unclean. 14:15 For if your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy by your food someone for whom Christ died. 14:16 be spoken of as evil. 14:17 For the kingdom of God does not consist of food and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. 14:18 For the one who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by people. Therefore do not let what you consider good

14:19 So then, let us pursue what makes for peace and for building up one another. 14:20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. For although all things are clean, it is wrong to cause anyone to stumble by what you eat. 14:21 It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything that causes your brother to stumble. 14:22 The faith 14:23 But the man who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not do so from faith, and whatever is not from faith is sin.The faith you have, keep to yourself before God. Blessed is the one who does not judge himself by what he approves.

2) Abstain from Sexulal immorality

In the begining God made them male and female

Gen 2: 24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and unites with his wife, and they become a new family.

3) Abstain from what has been strangled and from blood.

1 Cor 9:19 For since I am free from all I can make myself a slave to all, in order to gain even more people. 9:20 To the Jews I became like a Jew to gain the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law) to gain those under the law. 9:21 To those free from the law I became like one free from the law (though I am not free from God’s law but under the law of Christ) to gain those free from the law. 9:22 To the weak I became weak in order to gain the weak. I have become all things to all people, so that by all means I may save some.

9:23 I do all these things because of the gospel, so that I can be a participant in it.

I believe this rule has to do with evangelism purpose for reaching out to those under the Law.

Below taken From the Commentary from net.bible.org

Three of the four prohibitions deal with food (the first, third and fourth) while one prohibition deals with behavior (the second, refraining from sexual immorality). Since these occur in the order they do, the translation “abstain from” is used to cover both sorts of activity (eating food items, immoral behavior).

Telling them to abstain. These restrictions are not on matters of salvation, but are given as acts of sensitivity to their Jewish brethren, as v. 21 makes clear. Another example of such sensitivity is seen in 1 Cor 10:14-11:1.

What has been strangled. That is, to refrain from eating animals that had been killed without having the blood drained from them. According to the Mosaic law (Lev 17:13-14), Jews were forbidden to eat flesh with the blood still in it (note the following provision in Acts 15:20, and from blood).

In conclusion, the New Covenant believer whether Jew or Gentile, we are FREE Specifically from the LAW of MOSES with its commandments and its conditions. The New Covenant believer lives from and by a new heart (changed by God- He writes His Laws on our hearts by His Spirit so that we will know how to live from the inner guide) not from following some external rules and laws on tables of stone.

Please meditate on this Acts 15, I believe this is the Key passage to freedom!

1Corinthians 10:23 “Everything is lawful,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is lawful,” but not everything builds others up. 10:24 Do not seek your own good, but the good of the other person. 10:25 Eat anything that is sold in the marketplace without questions of conscience, 10:26 for the earth and its abundance are the Lord’s. 10:27 If an unbeliever invites you to dinner and you want to go, eat whatever is served without asking questions of conscience. 10:28 But if someone says to you, “This is from a sacrifice,” do not eat, because of the one who told you and because of conscience 18 10:29 I do not mean yours but the other person’s. For why is my freedom being judged by another’s conscience? 10:30 If I partake with thankfulness, why am I blamed for the food 19 that I give thanks for? 10:31 So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God. 10:32 Do not give offense to Jews or Greeks or to the church of God, 10:33 just as I also try to please everyone in all things. I do not seek my own benefit, but the benefit of many, so that they may be saved.

The believer is FREE from all laws that bind him so that he can live for God from his heart out of God’s Grace!

But one note about freedom:

Galatians 5:15 For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity to indulge your flesh, but through love serve one another.

Don’t use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature but to serve one another and to reach the lost! This is the year of Jubilee where God sets us slaves free through Jesus so that we come back to Him out of freewill and serve Him because we want to not because we have to!

Sometimes we wonder, “What is God’s Will for my life?”

God’s will is that you are free!

Acts 15:28 For it seemed best to the Holy Spirit and to us not to place any greater burden on you than these necessary rules: 15:29 that you abstain from meat that has been sacrificed to idols and from blood and from what has been strangled 91 and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from doing these things, you will do well. Farewell.

Essentially what the apostles were saying to the Gentile believers in antioch was this:

“Hey guys, you are free man! it seems best to the Holy Spirit and to us that you Remember only 3 rules:

1) Abstain from things defiled by idols

2) Abstain from Sexulal immorality

3) Abstain from what has been strangled and from blood.

Because you are Already a New Creation, this is how a New Creation lives. You don’t have to live like this to Become a New Creation, but this is Already Who You Are.

You don’t have to obey any Scriptures from the bible (it would mean from Genesis to Revelation in our day) because you are a slave set free by Jubilee and you obey your master not because you ‘have to’ but because you ‘want to’. but you obey God because you want to.

That maybe a shock to you, but that shows you how good God is and His ways of making us Holy is not through laws but it’s through Grace.”

Only 3 guidelines that fits in with New Creation nature,  that’s pretty simple isn’t it!

When the Law of Moses got cancelled at the Cross, all the “Have to’s” are gone. Jesus never forced anyone to follow Him, people followed Him because they wanted to.

When the Spirit of God and the new creation you are rises up from within you as it shakes off the chains of religion and laws, you will automatically desires to obey God because you want to (New Covenant mindset) not because you have to (Old Covenant Law of Moses mindset).

We obey the bible not because we have to. Freedom is Not True Freedom unless you are Free to do whatever you want to do. We obey God because we are Free to do so!! our New nature when its been liberated from the chains of religion and rises up out of revelation of who we are in Christ, just wants to live for God.

Grace is Not Freedom TO SIN, but Freedom FROM SIN!!

I welcome your comments!

GO Tonga, Evangelism trip, 24-31st July, 2008

Photos and videos to come later…

Evangelism trip to Tonga with GO International, 24 – 31st of July.

This is a report from evangelism trip with GO International, also known as Kiwitracts lead by Matthew Old. (www.gospel-outreach.org)

Couple of sundays nights ago, Michael preached a message on ‘Visions, dreams’. Michael said that dreams from God brings about the fruit of the Spirit, while dreams from the devil are black and white and don’t bring peace.

That same night I woke up halve way through the night, and I remembered in my dream that I was in Tonga for 8 days until the 31st of July.. A week ago I had canceled my ticket to Tonga because I had a bad dream about my family so I decided to stay. I canceled my ticket then but I had no peace. When I work up with this dream to goto Tonga, I felt inspired, filled with hope, so I believe this dream must be from God.

So a couple of days later, I booked my ticket to tonga to join with the evangelism team whose already there, and guess what? I got exactly 8 days- 24th-31st of July.

This has to be the most exciting evangelism ministry trip I have ever been on!

We had so many encounters that just had to be ‘God’s ordained!’

Tonga is such a amazing country, it is so relaxing, people are so laid back. It is like living in a village. People drive slowly, everyone is friendly with one another. But I didint’ feel bored, actually I felt that this would be a place that is easy to seek God and find Him. It was so easy to pray here. Tonga is a country built upon Christiains principles, although not all know God personally. People relate Christianity as ritual or things they do, it’s like a culture thing, but many are not born-again.

Thursday

I arrived thursday morn and the team came to pick my up. They just went to the ywam base to meet with the leaders there. My plane got delayed for almost 2 hours.

That night we went onto the main streets of Tonga, there were so many people there all gearing up for the King’s coronation. Me and Ewan prayed for this man who had a broken ankle walking with a stick. We asked if we could pray for him, he said ‘yes’. And we saw him walk a lot better after wards.

Then we and David prayed for this man in a wheel chair and felt God touch him. We helped put his wheel chair togather because it was falling apart.

Whatever we did, we always give them a gospel tract as well so that they would hear the Gospel.

Friday

On Friday, we went to Tongaside primary school to share the Gospel. Our team did drama, tricks with illusions, it all went very well. We gave out heaps of tracts to the children as well.

Then I went with Matt to meet with this pastor called Peter who overseas a chinese congregation. Matt wanted me to meetup with him to see if I could do anything for the chinese community. I had been wanting to meet up with my friends Daleon and Meleoni but didnt’ have their phone no.

Then I mentioned to Peter ‘do you know daleon?’, he said, ‘he’s at my house right now!’

Anyway, divine appointments everywhere. We had the privilege that sunday to minister in Church on the Rock and gave a gospel message. I had the privilege of giving the main gospel presentation using the flipchart and it was translated into chinese. Praise God!

On friday night I also saw Raka and Sione, Raka was a friend of mine from Mit back in the ’90s.

Saturday

we went to Pangimotu island that was cool! On saturday night, within a matter of 20 minutes, I saw about 6 youths before my eyes make a commitment to Jesus! The flipchart was soo powerful! We spoke to soo many people, especially youths. We set up 3 flipcharts all lined up next to the mainstage in town.

We had dinner with Christine who is from New Zealand. She is teaching in Tonga and she is an real encouragement and she prayed for us as well.

Sunday

We took the service at ‘Church on the Rock’ near the hospital. We did drama, flipchart and sketchboard. Saw 2 people made public commitment to the Lord.

After the service on sunday morn, Suzan and Moana took us the team out for lunch at a chinese restaurant. They were so hospital towards us.

Sunday afternoon we went to the Pacific Partners 93FM radio station and team shared some testimonies on radio. I had the privilege of talking about ‘Why did Jesus die on the cross?” and gave an altar call. That night we also went to the TV station. The TV station Dbn is actually a pentecostal aog congregation.

Monday

Met Tongan believers from Equippers church in tonga while witnessing in town at night time.

Tuesday

Went to the rugby stadium this morning. There was a huge event with all the primary schools in Tonga. We gave out thousands of tracts and ran out very quickly!

Wednesday

We went the hospital and prayed for many sick people. I had 2 words of knowledge for 2 different people and saw one demonic manifestation when I was praying for one kid. The first lady I prayed for, I didn’t ask what was wrong with her. Suddenly this spontaneous thought came to my head to pray for the chest pain to go away. Afterwards I asked her what was wrong with her, she said she is going for a heart operation. The second person I prayed for was a man lying on the bed. He looked tired, a lady beside him was looking after him. While I was praying for him, a thought came to my mind, “I believe God is going to visit you in your dreams.” Then I could hear him go into deep breathing and fall asleep. Then I asked the lady what was wrong with him, and she said he has been having trouble sleeping.

Saw our Ywam friends in town. Shared the gospel with local chinese immigrants who were touched. Throughout all my sharing this week, I not only preached the Gospel, but I also told people about the local church – Church on the rock in Tonga.

We had dinner at chinese restaurant Coco’s. It was our team’s last dinner togather. It was great and shared the gospel with the waitress Toupo.

Thursday

Daleon took me out for the day to the blowholes and to visit Akesa’s family. They own the only surfing resort in tonga. We visited Saul who is Helen’s uncle. He wanted me to come back with a team from our church to minister to their youth and their church. Saul now has his own church.

One young man called William, came and listened to us on the Flipchart over a period of 4 nights. On his 3rd night, he gave his heart to the Lord. When I saw him on the 4th night, I could recognise a change of countenance on his face, that it has lighted up. I could his dedication as well.

I went to one of the clothing shops to buy clothes, as it so turns out that the shop owner’s sister was going to NZ as well and on the same flight as me! So I met them at the airport and the whole family was 7 was on the same plane as me, immigrating to NZ. They live just 6 mins down the road from me, and I believe this is opportunity for me to reach out to them.

I learnt so much about evangelism from this trip and it has really opened my eyes to what God is doing in the Polynesian islands. So much you can only learn by ‘Going’ and ‘Doing’. If I stayed home I would have learnt nothing. People in Tonga are so open to the Gospel, what they need is more sincere laborers.

Friday

Matt stayed behind for the coronation of the Tongan King. And the Lord opened supernatural doors for him to get into the coronation service and sit in the middle, and even give out gospel tracts to some of the dignitaries!
